The loss of Hanes, the outfielder who was protested by Princeton and erratic pitching on the part of Way, cost Yale the first game in the series with Princeton, played at New Haven last Saturday. The score was 2 to 1 and the game was largely a pitchers' battle in which Deyo had considerably the best of it.
