DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP MONDAY

The college championship tournament in doubles, open to members of the three upper classes, will begin on Jarvis Field next Monday afternoon. A blue-book has been placed at Leavitt & Peirce's where entries may be made up to 6 o'clock on Saturday night. In signing, players are requested to indicate their afternoon classes in order to avoid unnecessary defaults. Players must also give the names of their partners and pay the entry fee of $1 per team.

The singles tournament has practically reached the second round, and is being played through without delays. The results of yesterday's matches were as follows: G. M. Gates '15 defeated T. W. Whitall '17, 11-13, 6-4, 6-1, and defeated G. E. Leighton '17, 6-3, 7-5; J. Harper '16 defeated P. C. Lewis '17, 6-2, 6-0; A. A. Cameron '17 defeated S. B. McKinley '16, 6-3, 6-2; G. B. Blaine '17 defeated H. Wentworth '17, 6-2, 6-4; H. Morgan '17 defeated L. P. Mansfeld '16, 6-1, 6-1, and defeated G. B. Blaine '17, 6-2, 6-1; W. Edgar '16 defeated W. C. Peebles '17, 6-3, 6-2.

Today's schedule to be played on Jarvis Field is as follows: at 1 o'clock, W. P. Whitehouse, 2d, '17 vs. H. Wainwright uG.B.; at 2 o'clock, W. Edgar '16 vs. G. M. Gates '15; V. H. Brown '17 vs. G. Aldis '17, winner to play W. Campbell '16 at 4.30; at 4 o'clock, W. Fleming '17 vs. D. S. Gates uC.

In the Freshman interdormitory tournament on the Soldiers Field courts the following will play: at 2 o'clock, D. M. Brunswick vs. E. Pruyn; W. Richmond vs. E. Kiernan; D. Gregg vs. J. Browning, winner to play S. E. Winslow at 4; J. J. Caires vs. C. T. Prindeville, winner to play L. R. Bailey at 4; T. A. Smith vs. A. E. MacDougall; J. W. Ecker vs. W. W. Pinney winner to play P. Benton at 4; S. A. Perkins vs. R. G. Brown; at 4 o'clock, H. A. Mosher vs. T. Scott; at 4.30, F. V. Peale vs. S. Rollins.

One match will be played in the University second team trials on Jarvis Field at 4.30: R. Z. Crane '17 vs. H. Morgan '17.

The 1918 team trials will continue on Jarvis Field as follows: at 2 o'clock, T. H. Fisher vs. E. B. Benedict; R. C. Cook vs. G. A. Johnson; L. E. Green vs. E. B. Benjamin; at 4 o'clock, Cook and Green vs. Benedict and Johnson.
