DORMITORIES COMMENCE SERIES

The Freshman interdormitory baseball series will open on Soldiers Field this afternoon when Gore meets Smith. A cup will be awarded to the winning team and possibly individual medals to the players. All Freshmen who are planning to play must sign immediately in the blue-books placed in each of the dormitories and should report dressed to play at 2 o'clock. No cutting of afternoon classes for the series will be allowed.

The management will be responsible for the appearance of the teams and for the following duties: the scoring and umpiring of the games, the returning of the scores to the CRIMSON Office by 7 o'clock on the day of the game, the eligibility of their players, the electing of captains after the first game of the series by the men who played in the game, and the appointment of an acting-captain for the first game.

Until May 14 it will be necessary to play the games as early as possible, as the Leiter cup teams will have the use of the diamonds until that date. Consequently if pressed for time; the umpire can, with the consent of the managers, call the game any time after the fifth inning.

The University baseball management will furnish baseballs and chest protectors, which the managers can secure by signing for the articles taken. All other equipment must be furnished by the individual players.

May 10--Gore vs. Standish.

May 19--Gore vs. Standish.
