Freshmen Have Had Good Season.

The Freshman team during the first seven games of the season played very consistent ball, winning six of the seven games and breaking the remarkable string of 39 consecutive victories of the Worcester Academy team by a 2 to 0 victory. Following the Worcester game the team struck a slump and lost its next three games to Exeter, Andover, and Dean Academy respectively. In the game with the Pilgrims on Thursday the Freshmen again regained their stride and batted out a 12 to 10 victory against G. A. Davis 2L. who pitched a no-hit no-run for the Bostn Braves last season.

The scores of the 1918 baseball games to date are as follows:

Freshmen, 5; Brookline High, 2.

Freshmen, 8; Lynn Classical, 5.

Freshmen, 5; Manchester High, 3.

Freshmen, 9; St. Mark's, 6.

Freshmen, 6; Groton, 5.

Freshmen, 3; Huntington, 9.

Freshmen, 2; Worcester Academy, 0.

Freshmen, 0; Exeter, 3.

Freshmen, 4; Andover, 6.

Freshmen, 1; Dean Academy, 4.

Freshmen, 12; Pilgrims, 10.

Yale Freshmen are Strong Also.

The Yale 1918 team is about an average aggregation with weak spots and strong ones. The records show a total of 9 victories against 4 defeats. There is as yet very little way of comparing the team with the University yearlings, since the games with Andover and Exeter, both of which nines defeated the latter team, were cancelled on account of bad weather.

Captain E. A. H. Shepley, a former Hill School star, and first baseman of the team, is the batting better, his two base hits practically winning the Princeton 1918 game. N. Garfield, from Taft School, is the best pitcher, and will undoubtedly work the major part of Monday's game. In the Princeton 1918 game, a week ago, he held his opponents to two hits, allowing only two bases on balls, and striking out 10 of the Tiger players.

The scores of the Yale freshman baseball games to date follow:
