SENIORS LOST BY TWO FEET

The Union Boat Club crew nosed out a victory over the first Senior crew by a margin of scarcely two feet on the river yesterday. The race started just below the Cottage Farm Bridge and ended at the Harvard Bridge, making a distance of about one mile. The Union boat got the start and held a lead of about a quarter of a length until 200 yards before the finish when the Senior eight put up their stroke and took a slight lead, which was lost, however, in the last few strokes.

The Union Boat Club has announced that it will send a crew to the American Henley regatta on May 22.
