Preliminary trials for the Freshman debating team will be held in Harvard 6 next Thursday evening at 7 o'clock. Candidates will be required to speak for five minutes on either side of he question: "Resolved, That the Monroe Doctrine should be abolished." Freshmen intending to compete who are unable to speak Thursday night are asked to see P. L. Sayre, Mathews 53, before that time. Arrangements will be made for them to have subsequent trials.
