R. N. Williams, 2d, '16, has been appointed by the United States National Lawn Tennis Association captain of a four-man team which is to play against a western four-man team in California. Williams will leave with his team-mates shortly after the examinations. They will also compete in the international tournament at the exposition. The men hope also to take part in the National Clay Court Championship at Pittsburgh which Williams won in 1912.
The U. S. N. L. T. A. committee will select the other three men. Prominent for these positions are W. J. Clothier '04 and N. W. Niles '09.
