NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The National Security League of the University will hold its initial meeting in the Trophy Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock. This organization is intended to emphasize our national lack of military and naval preparedness and arouse public influence to secure some systematic plan of national defence along the lines laid down by the National Security Commission created by Congress. Several prominent men, including the Hon. A. P. Gardner '86, M.C., Professors T. N. Carver and R. M. Johnton, will speak in favor of increasing our army and navy. The League will hold meetings at regular intervals hereafter at which it will be addressed by prominent men. Further details about the machinery and working of the League will be explained at the meeting this evening. It is hoped that a large number of men interested in such a project will appear and take part in the discussion.
