The Pierian Sodality will celebrate its one hundred and seventh birthday at a dinner at the Hotel Thorndike at 7 o'clock. Howard Shaw '13, an ex-president of the Sodality, will be toastmaster and there will be speeches by the following men: Dr. A. T. Davison '16; Dr. P. G. Clapp '08, the well-known symphony composer; W. N. Hewitt 1G., the present conductor; C. Clifton '12, a former conductor; Modeste Alloo, coach of the orchestra; and E. H. Barry '15. Professor W. C. Heilman '00 and Mr. Arthur Foote '74, a former Sodality man, and one of the greatest composers in the country, are expected to be present. Professor F. W. Taussig '79, an ex-president, will speak on the Sodality of his time.
