The production of "Orpheus," which was to be given by the Radcliffe Choral Society and the Harvard Glee Club on April 12 and 13, has been postponed. The orchestra which was to supply the music, composed of players from the Boston Opera, is performing during that week for the Handel and Haydn Festival, and it is impossible to produce the opera at any other date this year.
The presentation of "Orpheus" has not been abandoned, however. The opera will be given next year under the direction of Mrs. H.H. Gallison, and Dr. A.T. Davison, Jr., '06, of the Music Department. Those who were to sing the chief roles will be back next year, and therefore the postponment will not cause a loss of any of the best singers.
