Pierian to Celebrate One Hundred and Eighth Anniversary Tomorrow

The one hundred and eighth dinner of the Pierian Sodality will be held at the Hotel Thorndike tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock. Elaborate preparations are being made. Howard Shaw '13, ex-president of the Sodality, will act as toast-master and there will be speeches by the following men: Modeste Alloo, coach of the orchestra; E.H. Barry '15; Dr. P.G. Clapp '08, the well-known symphony composer; C. Clifton '12; Dr. A.T. Davison '06; and F.H. Hewitt UL. Mr. Arthur Foote '74, and old Sodality man, and one of the greatest composers in the country, is expected to be present. Professor Taussig '79, an ex-president, will speak on the Sodality of his time.

The Pierian Sodality is the oldest musical organization in the country. It was founded in 1807, and has furnished many men to the Symphony Orchestra.
