The Forum held in the Union last night could not decide whether beer is or is not harmful at class smokers. The vote was a tie. When the subject of the debate was widely advertised, when all interested were given a chance to be present, and when the discussion was amply long enough to allow full presentation of sane arguments, there is no reason to submit the question to the Student Council or to any other authority. The Forum virtually endorsed tolerance. Those who wish beer may have it; those who do not, need have no fear that it will be forced upon them.
