TENNIS TRIALS COMMENCE

Trials for the University tennis team will begin at Jarvis Field courts this afternoon. A new system of elimination tournament will be inaugurated this year in order to pick the University squad. A schedule is being arranged for the second University team which will be composed of men not qualifying in the tournament just started, and the second team captain will be appointed later.

Men not appearing at the Jarvis Field courts at the appointed time will be defaulted. Positively no postponements will be allowed. A tournament chart has been posted at Jarvis Field and the winner of each match must post his score immediately after playing, otherwise both players will be defaulted. The matches will continue daily from now on until the entire University squad is chosen.
