Nineteen Competed in Aero Meet

The Aeronautical Society's meet for duration of flight of hand-launched models held at Concord Saturday afternoon was won by F. W. Hatch of Medford High School with a flight of 34 3-5 seconds. There were 19 model aeroplanes entered by Harvard, M. I. T. and preparatory school students. The strong winds drove many of the machines to the ground, some being shattered beyond repair. None of the University entries placed in the meet, although the flights made by E. H. Beane '17 and M. Blanchard '18 were successful considering that their models were designed more for speed than duration of flight.
