WORK FOR SWIMMERS ENDED

The University swimming team has just closed the most successful season it has ever had, winning six of its eight meets. Over fifty men reported on the squad at the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. tank this year and with the plans for better facilities and several long trips which are now being considered for next season the prospect is especially encouraging. None of the members of this year's team will be lost by graduation so that Coach Mann will have all the letter men back again as a nucleus for a team with which to contend for intercollegiate honors.

Captain B. M. Fullerton, '16 will be the mainstay of the team in the distances and as anchor man in the relay. The other experienced men in these events are, W. T. Jenney '17, J. A. Machado '17, S. J. Rogers '17, J. W. D. Seymour '17, and H. Wentworth '17. In the plunge A. Dixon, 3rd, '16, performed consistently and is sure to be a point winner next year, while K. F. Jackson '17 and W. L. Monro '16 did good work in the diving. R. M. Benjamin '17 was steadily improving in the plunge when forced to give it up on account of ill health.

In addition, several excellent men will be eligible next year from the 1918 team. which also won six of its eight meets. Captain T. T. Seelye '18, and W. Hitchcock '18 in the dashes; M. Blanchard '18 in the dive, and A. L. Richmond '18 in the plunge, will undoubtedly strengthen the team.
