FRESHMEN HAVE FOOTBALL TALKS

Weekly Meetings at Varsity Club to Teach Finer Points of Game.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In order to drill the Freshmen in the finer points of football, a series of blackboard talks is being carried on. At these meetings, which are held once a week, usually on Monday night in the Varsity Club, everything in connection with football is discussed and a thoroughly fundamental knowledge of the game is instilled in the minds of the men. Any Freshmen who are contemplating trying for the University team next year are urged to attend them. Paul Withington '10, director of Freshman athletics, regularly addresses the meetings, while Coach P. D. Haughton '99 is usually present.
