The first regular batting and fielding practice was held yesterday afternoon in the Cage. About 20 men reported for the University fielding positions, and ten Freshman battery candidates. H. L. Nash '16 has charge of the latter for this week, and next week, when the Freshman fielding candidates are called out, H. E. Reeves '12 will have charge of the whole squad.

University battery men should report at 2 o'clock every afternoon from now on, and fielding candidates at 3.30. Freshman battery men will report at 5. Some Freshman catchers whose names will be announced are to come out with the University battery.
