Mr. Edmund von Mach '95, the well-known writer on Germany, will speak on "What Germany Wants" in Stoughton 15 this eveing at 7.30 o'clock, under the auspices of the International Polity Club. Mr. von Mach is the author of a book on the same subject, and writes "The German Viewpoint" in the Boston Transcript. He will discuss rather what Germany is fighting for now, and what she would demand in case of a forced peace, than her original motives for entering the war.
Mr. von Mach is a graduate of the University, where he received his A.B. and Ph.D. degrees. For four years he was an instructor in the Fine Arts Department in the University, and has since taught in other colleges. He is the author of several well-known books on Greek sculpture. For two years he was President of the Bostoner Deutscher Gesselschaft. This meeting is open to all interested in the subject.
