NYT Journalist Maggie Haberman Weighs In on Trump’s White House, Democratic Strategy at Harvard Talk
Harvard students, since the war started, have been tagged, flagged and flowered indiscriminately to support various movements. It is undoubtedly the duty of college men to help every good cause. But the idea that the purse of the ordinary college man is a gold mine of unfathomed depth should not be overlooked by the next man who compiles a book entitled "One Thousand and One Common Mistakes."
Most men are willing to help a good cause and when a general, official appeal for aid is made, as on the University tag day, they respond generously. But they cannot be expected to submit very cheerfully to a perpetual campaign of flagging, tagging and sand bagging by persistent females.
Official campaigns to collect money for causes generally recognized as worthy have the CRIMSON'S indorsement. But the line should be drawn somewhere to prevent imposition and even fraud.
