Five-Minute Speeches on Larger Armament in Preliminary Round.
Trials for the University debating team will be held tomorrow evening in Harvard 5 and 6 at 7.15 o'clock. All candidates should come prepared to speak for five minutes on the question: "Resolved, That the best interests of the United States demand a prompt and substantial increase in her army and navy." All undergraduates are eligible to compete.
Managers Wanted.
Candidates for the position of manager of the team will report at Hollis 6 tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock, when the work of the competition will be outlined. The period of competition will be short.
