At the end of the second day of enlisting for the University battalion, the figures show a total of 992 volunteers. Last night the committee elected Wells Blanchard '16, of Concord, chairman, and a committee of two, composed of the chairman and Charles Carroll Lund '16, of Boston, to go to New York tomorrow to confer with General Leonard Wood about plans for the organization.
