A short work-out at the Arena was in order for the hockey squad yesterday. The freezing apparatus was out of order in the afternoon, so that a new surface has to be frozen before the players could get o the ice. The first few minutes were devoted to practice in dribbling and long and short range shots. Then Teams A, B, and C were successively pitted against the Harvard Club seven for five-minute scrimmages.

In the first encounter the two teams fought for four minutes without scoring. The Philips of the Harvard Club broke away and shot the puck into the net. W. O. Morgan scored for the University a minute later.

Only two more scores were made, both by Philips, one against team B and one when team C was playing. J. Wylde '17, last year's regular goal, got in for a few minutes and made two brilliant stops.

The teams lined up at the start of practice as follows: UNIVERSITY,  HARVARD CLUB Thacher, r.w  l.w., Gorham Baldwin, r.c.  l.c., Hicks Percy, l.c.  r.c., Phillips W. O. Morgan, l.w.  r.w., Saltonstall L. E. P. Morgan, c.p.  c.p., Claflin Dotry, P  p., Cutler Abbott, g.  g., Marting
