Eight of the ten dates for the 1916 football team have been provisionally filled, according to a tentative schedule, announced by F. W. Moore '93, the Graduate Treasurer of the Athletic Association yesterday afternoon.
Certain changes from this year's schedule will be noticed. Neither the Massachusetts "Aggies" nor Carlisle appear, the former having proved too strong an opponent for so early in the season and Carlisle's abandoning of intercollegiate football having precluded any other arrangement.
Bates, which was the opening game last year, is back on the list in second the lead-off contest. Tufts, also a 1914 opponent, will appear in the Stadium next fall. The two mid season dates are still open, with a chance that Virginia may fill one of them if she is unable to change her game with Vanderbilt in order to come to Cambridge on November 4. There will be no game with Penn. State next year. This was decided upon before Penn State came to the Stadium this fall, when the schedule proved to be unnecessarily heavy.
The schedule:
September 23,--Colby.
September 30,--Bates.
October 7,--Tufts.
October 14.--Open.
October 21,--Open.
October 28,--Cornell.
November 4,--Virginia.
November 11,--Princeton.
November 18,--Brown.
November 25,--Yale.
All games, except that with ale will be played in the Stadium.
