Preliminaries in Interclass Debates Will Begin Tonight

The first debate in the interclass series will be held in Harvard 5 and 6 this evening at 7 o'clock, when the Sophomores and Freshmen debate on the subject, "Resolved, That it is for the best interests of the United States to lend economic and financial aid to the European belligerents." This debate will consist of trials for the final Sophomore. Freshman debate to be held on December 15. Five-minute speeches must be prepared and six men will be retained on each team as the result of the trials.

The Senior-Junior trials will be held tomorrow, and all contestants must have ten-minute speeches prepared. All men who have not been on a University team are eligible to compete.
