SOCCER ELEVEN OPENS INTERCOLLEGIATE SERIES WITH CONTEST AGAINST PRINCETON THIS MORNING

Despite Severe Losses Due to Graduation University Team Will Begin League Schedule With Bright Prospects.--Second Game of Trip Will be With Columbia Monday.

The University association football team will play Princeton in the opening game of the intercollegiate series this morning at 10.45 o'clock. After the Princeton football game, the team will return to its headquarters at the Vanderbilt Hotel. New York, where it will remain until its second important league game with Columbia at 2.30 o'clock on Monday afternoon.

The team is very strong this year and should make a good showing against Princeton. It has lost only one game, to the General Electric Company's team, 1 to 6, and has won from Springfield Y. M. C. A. by a score of 4 to 0. Springfield had already defeated Yale 5 to 2. The other victories thus far have been over Prospect Union 7 to 0 and Andover 2 to 1. Although there are only three regulars from last year's team, a number of last year's Freshman eleven are playing on the University team this year.

The team will line up this morning as follows: g., G. B. Emmons '17; r.f.b., O. G. Daly '17; l.f.b., J. M. Jennings '16; c.h.b., D. Moffat '16; r.h.b., S. A. Hartwell '16; l.h.b., E. H. Bean '17; c., R. C. Cooke '18; r.i.f., E. E. Bates '17; l.o.f., W. W. Weld '16 (captain).

Princeton, N. J., November 5, 1915.--The Princeton team has played only three games this season, of which it has tied one and won two. All of the men on this year's team were on the university team last year, with the exception of Weller '18, who is playing left inside forward. Princeton's schedule of games played thus far is as follows:

Princeton, 1; Trenton All-Stars, 1.

Princeton, 1; Cornell, 0.

Princeton, 10; George School, 0.

The Princeton team tomorrow morning will have the following line-up: g., Jackson, '16; r.f.b., Cater '17; l.f.b., Moore '16; r.h.b., Carey '16; c.h.b., Hoskins '17; l.h.b., Harris '17; r.o.f., Fowler '17; r.i.f., Ross '17; c.f., Bird '16; l.i.f., Weller '18; l.o.f., Gates '16 (captain).
