VIOLIN RECITAL BY SPALDING

EMINENT VIOLINIST TO PLAY IN MUSIC BUILDING THIS EVENING

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. Albert Spalding will give a violin recital under the auspices of the Division of Music in the John Knowles Paine Concert Hall this evening at 8.15 o'clock. Mr. Spalding is one of the foremost of American violinists and has probably done more towards introducing violin music in this country than any one else. He is at present engaged in a concert tour and his recital in Boston on Monday evening gave evidence of his high ability. His coming to Cambridge affords an opportunity which members of the University should not miss.

He will be assisted by his regular accompanist, Mr. Andre Benoist, at the piano. The following program will be presented:

Sonata in D minor for pianoforte and violin, Johannes Brahms.

Suite in E major for violin unaccompanied, Johann Sebastian Bash.

Suite in C major for pianoforte and violin, Albert Spalding.

Sonata in A major, Cesar Franck.

Tickets for this recital are on sale at Amee's at $1, 50 cents and 25 cents each.
