The Freshman association football team was defeated 4 goals to 3 goals on Soldiers Field Saturday by the Norwegian Athletic Club of West Somerville. This was the fourth game on the Freshman schedule and the showing of the team was excellent considering the long practice and experience of the opponents. The team played as a unit and the shooting of the forwards, especially Tilghman and Harris was far above the work of an ordinary Freshman offense. Zukoski was in many plays and made good gains, while Captain Lucas was the bulwark of the defence. Schyllander was the individual ground gainer of the opponents.
The summary:
Score--Norwegian A. C., 4; Freshmen, 3. Goals--Peterson, Weibey, Schyllander 2, Harris, Lucas, Tilghman. Referee--R. Ritchie. Linesmen--West and Clough. Time--Two 35-minute periods.
