STEADY IMPROVEMENT BEING SHOWN BY FRESHMAN ELEVEN

In Spite of Injuries in Worcester Game the Team is Rapidly Rounding Into Shape.

The Freshman football team has been progressing rapidly during the last week. The work of the backs is very encouraging, Captain Flower at halfback in particular playing a strong game. The line work as a whole showed much improvement in the game with Dean. No injuries were received on Saturday, Bates, however, taking the place of Rich at centre. Canfield's injury will keep him out for at least another week, while Coolidge will probably not be able to play again this season.

The second Freshman eleven has elected J. H. P. Howard, Jr., '19, captain. The team is also improving rapidly. It will scrimmage the first team this afternoon, and will play a practice game against English High School on Thursday.
