MACHINE GUN CO. RESUMES WORK.

Unique Plan Under Way to Make Organization an "Armored Car Corps."

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Machine Gun Corps is once more in active service and is doing excellent work, with a full rank list of 50 men and a waiting list besides. Lieutenant Renwick, who is in charge of the corps, hopes to carry out an idea of General Wood's which would make the company an "armored car corps"; that is, every one in the company would have a place on an armored motor truck. This would make a unique corps, which could be carried on in the form of an experiment for the United States army. In order to accomplish this, however, funds must be raised for two more trucks, the company possessing only three at present. New men are being taken in all the time and, although they cannot be given places in the company immediately, they are given preliminary instruction and are put into the ranks as soon as there is a vacancy, and are chosen for the place according to merit only.
