Six-Mile Course Covered Yesterday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University cross-country team had its first hard run over the 6-mile Belmont course yesterday. The results were very gratifying in spite of the muddy condition of the course. In one place the men had to cross a 10-foot ditch full of water because one of the fields was temporarily closed. Some forded the ditch while others took to broad-jumping. K. E. Fuller 16 was well in the lead all the way. The order of finish was as follows: K. E. Fuller '16, R. T. Twitchell '16, W. P. Whitehouse, 2d '17, A. R. Bancroft '17 and G. A. King '18, R. W. Babcock '17, G. A. King '18, R. W. Babcock '17, H. L. M. Cole '16, J. C. Merriam '16, and H. S. Boyd '17. A. R. Bancroft '17 and G. A. King '18 have been added to the training table and should report for breakfast Monday. The Freshmen took a run over the short course.
