FURNITURE OR FLOORS?

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Alumni Bulletin in its current issue suggests that, in view of the fact that men now become used to furnished rooms in their Freshman year, it may be advisable for the University to furnish the rooms in all its buildings. To the long-suffering Senior in the Yard it seems more important that less undulating floors be provided upon which to moor the furniture which he has already purchased for himself. The splinters may be blunted by a heavy covering of carpet, but no way has been found to level the hills and fill the valleys. If the University will provide a surer footing, a sanitary way of removing dust, it is likely that even the pampered men of 1918 and after will still be willing to provide the furniture.
