After over two weeks' practice the Freshman football squad is commencing to round into shape. Eighty-seven men are at present on the squad. Last week's work consisted mainly in teaching the candidates the fundamentals, with plenty of work in tackling the dummies. There are now two squads for the purpose of facilitating the coaching. Head Coach L. Saltonstall '14 has charge of the first squad backs, F. Wigglesworth '16, the line, and S. M. Felton, Jr., '16, the ends.

The first squad is as follows:

Centres--Bates, Canfield, W. Hoffman and Wells. Guards--Clark, Coburn, Linder, and Zach. Tackles--Burnham, Cummings, Eaton, Fishback, Flynn, Lawrence, Parker, and Putnam. Ends--Brewer, R. Hoffman, Freeman, Phinney, Smith, Watkins, and Wood. Backs--Batchelder, Bond, Casey, Coolidge, Cross-cup, Felton, Flower, Fuller, Gaston, Pratt, Trainor, and Works.

J. Simpkins '12, O. G. Saxon '14, and F. J. O'Brien '14, have charge of the second squad.

October 16.--Andover at Andover.

October 23.--Worcester at Worcester.

October 30.--Dean at Cambridge.

November 6.--Exeter at Exeter.
