About 85 candidates answered the call for track men and reported at Soldiers Field yesterday. Coach Donovan has arranged the following schedule of hours at which candidates for the University and Freshman track and relay teams are to report at the board track regularly every afternoon, beginning today: Sprinters, 2.45 o'clock; candidates for the University short distance relay team, 3.15 o'clock; candidates for the University long distance relay team, 3.45 o'clock; candidates for the Freshman relay team, 4.15 o'clock; all other track men between 4.15 and 4.45 o'clock. On Saturday all men are to report between 11 and 1 o'clock. Regular attendance, beginning today is asked of every candidate for either of the two teams.
Candidates for the field events are to practice daily in the baseball cage under the direction of Coach Powers. The regular weekly competitions in the broad and high jumps, the shot-put, and the pole-vault will continue as usual.
