OVERSEERS RATIFY APPOINTMENTS

C. N. Jackson '98 Made Assistant Professor.--Other New Officers.

At a recent meeting of the Board of Overseers the following Faculty appointments were ratified: Carl Newell Jackson '98, assistant professor of Greek and Latin, from September 1, 1915; George Washington Pierce '01, Director of the Cruft Memorial Laboratory, from January 1, 1915. The President and Fellows of, the University have made the following appointments: Joseph Goldberger, M.D., Cutter lecturer on Preventive Medicine for 1914-15; Francis Browne Grinnell '09, M.D. '13, Charles Follen Folsom Teaching Fellow in Hygiene, from October 1, 1914, for the remainder of the academic year; Roger Pierce '04, business advisor of the Medical School, for one year from September 1, 1914.

The following changes in titles of appointments were made: Edmund Earl Lincoln A.B., M.A., and Henry Thomas Moore '10, Ph.D., Austin Teaching Fellows in Economics; and Sidney Powers, A.B., S.M., Austin Teaching Fellow in Geology.
