The proposed plan to send a surgical unit from the Medical School to the American Ambulance Hospital in Paris, to assume the care of 150 beds for a period of three months from April 1 to July 1 has been assured of success by the generous guarantee by Mr. William Lindsey, of Boston, of $10,000, if so much is required, to meet the expense of the undertaking. It has been said that no more fitting place for an American surgical congress could be found than the battle front, where cases that are rarities in peace times are too abundant.
