GETTING ACQUAINTED.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Last night the Freshman class, almost to a man, heard President Lowell, Dean Briggs, and other men speak words of welcome, encouragement and advice to it at a meeting in the Union.

Tonight in Phillips Brooks House, the class will be addressed by upper classmen at a more informal, but no less valuable, reception. Every Freshman should attend, for no better opportunity of meeting his classmates and hearing timely words on topics of collegiate importance will be presented this year.

At the reception in the Union last night, the Freshman was introduced to the University from the Faculty's point of view. Tonight the new men have a chance to become acquainted with the activities of the University as they are interpreted by fellow members in the upper classes. No member of 1918 can afford to be absent tonight.
