The Leiter Cup baseball series ended yesterday when the Powerizers defeated the Maidstones 6 to 0. Davis, twirler for the victors, had complete control over the opposing batters, fanning 13 of them. His enemy on the mound, Buffum, struck out but 5 of the Powerizer delegation. The 9 hits which the Maidstone nine batted out were well scattered and excellently fielded. On several occasions the vanquished nine had three men on the bases when Davis tightened up and retired the side. The game, however, was not so close as the one-sided score would indicate.
Both teams have come through the series up to today's game, without a defeat, this being the fifth contest for each. The members of the winning team will be awarded silver cups.
