EXETER PLAYED BETTER BALL

Prep. School Baseball Experts Win From Seconds by Score of 4 to 1.

Exeter stopped the University second team yesterday afternoon, by winning the game at Exeter, 4 to 1. Never after the first inning was the result in doubt, for the strong Exonians clouted Whitney's curves to all corners of the field. And in retaliation the second team batters could do nothing. The loss of the game was due not so much to the faults of the Harvard substitutes as to the marked superiority of the Exeter nine, one of the strongest of this season's preparatory school teams.

The hitting of Neal and Enright counted heavily in Exeter's scoring. Neal's long home-run over the head of right-fielder Baker, who fielded the ball in extremely weird style, assured victory for the New Hampshire team.

Saturday the seconds play Andover, which game will be the last before the coming Harvard Seconds-Yale Seconds contest on Soldiers Field on June 6.
