The University tennis team will oppose Leland Stanford, Jr., University on the Longwood courts this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Owing to the length of their trip, the Californians have brought only two men East, and the matches to be contested today are as follows:

Singles--E. H. Whitney '14 vs. R. L. Murray (S.), W. M. Washburn '15 vs. H. L. Hann (S.); doubles -- Whitney and Washburn vs. Murray and Hann. Each of the three matches will count as one point in the final score. The contest will be open to the public.

The match today will close an extensive Eastern tour by the Pacific Coast players. The contest will be fast and close, for the Stanford pair defeated Yale, 2 to 1, winning both singles, and losing the doubles.
