CREWS RACE ITHACANS TODAY

UNIVERSITY ENGAGES IN IMPORTANT AQUATIC STRUGGLE AT 4.30 P. M.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This afternoon the University crews will race Cornell over the mile and seven-eighths course in the Basin at 4.30 o'clock. Immediately following the University race the Freshman crew will row against Cornell 1917 over the same course, starting at the Cottage Farm Bridge and finishing opposite the Union Boat House. Arrangements have been made to signal the results of the races from the finish to the Harvard Bridge, where they will be announced.

All the crews took short practice rows yesterday afternoon, Harvard going upstream, and Cornell down to become familiar with the course. The University crew has been rowing in very good form since the Philadelphia regatta, so that prospects look very bright for a victory.
