New Course in Engineering

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A new course in highway engineering has been established under one of the departments effected by the recent agreement between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard. Professor Hector J. Hughes '94, Director of the Engineering Camp, will conduct the course. This work will fall into those lines of working together to which Governor Walsh has recently called attention, whereby the special work or experience of Technology and Harvard is to be put where it will substantially benefit the city and Commonwealth.

The option in highway engineering as the course will be known, will be offered by the department of civil and sanitary engineering and will be under the general supervision of Professor Charles M. Spofford, although Professor Hughes will do the actual instructing.

Co-operation has already been tendered by the Massachusetts High way Comparison.
