EXPECT HARD LACROSSE GAME

Johns Hopkins' lacrosse team will be the University team's first opponents on its annual Southern trip, in a game to be played at Baltimore this afternoon. Johns Hopkins has practically the same team as the one which defeated the University on last year's trip, 6 to 3. This university is noted for its well-drilled and experienced lacrosse teams, and today's contest promises to be the hardest fought game on the trip.

The teams will line up this afternoon in the following order:

Harvard.--g., Cochran; p., O'Neil; c.p., Little; 1d., Wilson; 2d., Catton; 3d., Beal; c., Nash; 3a., Wanamaker; 2a., Nightingale; 1a., Eaton; o.h., Fleming; i.h., Abbe.

Johns Hopkins.--g., Sears; p., W. Sutton; c.p., Brigman; 1d., Huck; 2d., Liebensperger; 3d., Nelson; c., Beatty; 3a., P. Sutton; 2a., La Motte; 1a., Knipp; o.h., Troxell; i.h., Stockett.

The University team has played but two games so far this spring, losing both to the Boston Lacrosse Club; but this is not necessarily discouraging, since the Boston Lacrosse Club team is formed of veteran players, and is one of the strongest teams in the country.

The attack is practically the same as that of last year's team, and is exceptionally fast-driving and experienced in stick-work. Captain P. F. Brundage '14, has been out of the game lately with a broken hand, but may be able to play in the Pennsylvania game a week from today; if he does, it should improve the attack considerably. Although the defence has only two veterans, Catton and Wilson, it is alert and hard-fighting.

This year's Southern trip will be harder than any in recent years. In all, four teams will be played: Johns Hopkins today, Mt. Washington Lacrosse Club Tuesday, Annapolis Thursday, and University of Pennsylvania next Saturday. All of these teams except the Mt. Washington Lacrosse Club were played on last year's trip. Then the University team lost to Johns Hopkins 6 to 3, but defeated the Navy 8 to 3 and Pennsylvania 19 to 0.
