As a result of the second trials for the Freshman debating team, 12 men were retained for the finals to be held in New Lecture Hall next Saturday. Two affirmative and two negative teams of three men each will debate in the following order: at 1.30 o'clock, affirmative, W. I. Tibbetts, J. H. Spitz, G. Wasser; negative, E. F. Smiley, A. R. Ginsburgh, D. A. Kriesfield; at 4 o'clock, affirmative, A. G. Paine, L. S. Levy, A. E. Whittemore; negative, E. C. Davidson, J. R. Gilman, H. H. Scheier.

At the final trials nine men will be picked to make up the two teams and three alternates, but the final order and sides which the speakers will take will not be decided until the preparation for the triangular debate in May is far advanced.
