Seven colleges were represented at a recent meeting in New York City to discuss arrangements for the match between the two college chess leagues, to be held Saturday, April 4. The quadrangular league is composed of Harvard, Columbia, Yale, and Princeton, while the triangular league includes Cornell, Brown, and Pennsylvania.
The interleague match will be on six boards, and will be played in the rooms of the Brooklyn Chess Club. Play will commence at 1 o'clock on April 4, lasting until 6 o'clock, and, if necessary, from 7 o'clock to midnight. Participants in the match will be limited to players who were eligible to compete in the annual tournaments of the respective leagues.
