The University swimming team, which has just completed a rather unsuccessful season, is looking forward to next year with optimism. Of the seven men who composed the team, but three will be lost through graduation. These three, however, are among the surest point winners. They are: A. F. Pickernell '14, E. B. Starbuck '14, and J. Wentworth '14. The mainstay of next year's team will be Captain B. M. Fullerton '16, who is especially proficient in the 100 and 220-yard dashes. The other members of the team to return are W. L. Monro, Jr., '16, J. P. Putnam, Jr., '16, and R. L. Small '16. The experience gained by these men this year, their first on the University team, will make them doubly valuable next year.
In addition, several excellent men from the 1917 team will be eligible next year. Captain E. H. Gibb '17 and R. H. Hitchcock '17 will undoubtedly make strong additions to the team.
