Definite announcement has been made of the plans for the training trip to Annapolis which the first and second University crews will take during the spring vacation. The men will leave Cambridge on April 19 or 20, and will be the guests of the United States Naval Academy while at Annapolis. They will live in the Navy Dormitories, and eat at the regular training table. A race between the University and Navy crews is scheduled for April 25. It will be rowed on the Severn river, the course being the regular Henley distance of 1 5-16 miles. The squad will probably return immediately after the race.

The only University crew of recent years which has made any spring training trip was that of 1908, which also journeyed to Annapolis. The other crews have spent the spring recess in Cambridge.

May Go on Charles Today.

If the weather conditions prove favorable, the first two University crews will go on the river today for the first time this spring. The remaining University crews and the Freshman crews will probably get out on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on weather conditions and how soon the floats can be attached. This is three days later than the men were able to get out on the river last year.

The orders of the crews will be:

First University.--Stroke, Chanler; 7, Schall; 6, H. S. Middendorf; 5, J. W. Middendorf; 4, Harwood; 3, Reynolds; 2, Gardiner; bow, Murray.

Second University.--Stroke, Lund; 7, Soucy; 6, Parson; 5, Curtis; 4, Morgan; 3, Lyman; 2, Talcott; bow, Herrick.

Yale Begins in Earnest.

The first two Yale crews had their first workout on the water Saturday. Coach Guy Nickalls was in charge, and with him was Dean Acheson, recently appointed as assistant university coach. American centre rigger shells with awivel locks and new American oars were used. The first crew averages 172 pounds, nearly ten pounds to a man heavier than last year's crew.

The order of the first crew was as follows: Stroke, Cushman; 7, Rogers; 6, Fitzpatrick; 5, Sturtevant; 4, Meyer; 3, Denegre (captain); 2, Titus; bow, Crocker; coxswain, Moore
