Admiral French Ensor Chadwick will lecture on "what the Navy has done for the United States," in the Living Room of the Union tonight at 8 o'clock. Few men are so well qualified to speak on the Navy and its relation to the welfare of the nation as is Admiral, Chadwick. His experience includes almost every branch of the Navy, as well as seven years as the naval attache of the United States in London. He was one of the noted captains under Admiral Sampson, and was in command of the ship which was sent to put a pressure on the bandit-chief Rais Ullah to compel him to give up lon Perdicaris '58 who had been captured. Since his retirement in 1906 Admiral Chadwick has turned to literature and has produced many noted works. The speaker will be introduced by Professor Albert Bushnell Hart '80.
