Trials for the University golf team will be held at the Oakley Country Club from April 8 to 10, and from April 13 to 17 inclusive. An arrangement with the Oakley Club is now pending whereby ten men will be extended the privileges of the course from April 1 to June 1, upon payment of $15 each. If this plan materializes, it will prove of great benefit to the University team, as it will enable ten men in addition to those players who are regular members of the club to practice over the course during the entire period of the spring matches.
The outlook for a good team this season is encouraging, as only two members of last year's team, F. V. Burton '14, and B. W. Estabrook '14, have been lost through graduation. The services of F. Sargent '14, will be missed in the inter-collegiate tournament in September, but he will be eligible for the spring matches. The most promising candidates from whom Captain E. P. Allis '15 will pick his team are R. M. Baker '15, H. K. Caner '15, E. R. Devereux '16, S. P. Griffitis '15, J. G. Heyburn '16, F. Sargent '14, and C. S. Weeks '14.
