Over 100 men reported at the second track practice for the University and Freshman teams yesterday afternoon. All candidates were given light drill about the Stadium, with the exception of the distance runners, who did several miles of road work. Coach Powers wants more men to report for the field events, as at present there are only a half-dozen out for each one. Because of this scarcity of candidates it has been necessary to postpone the handicap broad jump competition until Friday.
A. L. Jackson '14, who has just recovered from his recent operation appeared on the Field for the first time yesterday. Although Jackson will practice regularly from now on, he will do no hurdling for at least three weeks, devoting himself for the present wholly to strengthening his weakened knee and hip.
