The lately installed arc-lights in and about the Square were turned on for the first time Saturday evening. The Fifty-three electric lamps were erected by the Harvard Square Business Men's Association at a cost of about $2800. The expense of maintaining them will be borne by the city. The installation of this new lighting system is a part of the Association's plans for the improvement of the Square.
